Tools and resources for Northeast bird monitoring partners

We offer these tools and resources to support monitoring and conservation of northeastern birds.Bicknell's Thrush

A virtual library of bird monitoring publications contains downloadable plans, technical reports, and peer-reviewed scientific papers.   

The draft Register of Northeast Bird Monitoring Programs (MS Excel) catalogs basic information on over 400 monitoring initiatives in the region.  To submit additions or corrections, please contact the Atlantic PuffinCoordinator.

State wildlife action plans identify management issues and Species of Greatest Conservation Need, providing justification and direction to bird monitoring activities in the Northeast.

Featured link: the Vermont Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit Spreadsheet Project, which instructs quantitative methods for analyzing wildlife population dynamics.
